Weather outside is frightful

Time flies when you're having fun! Cole is keeping me busy, busy, busy. This kid never stops. We have cleaned out our sun room and rearranged stuff to make it his "play room." I'll take pics of it later. He will crawl in there and play by himself appropriately for 15 minutes or so! He didn't get his attention span from me:)

The weather is starting to get colder so it is limiting our outside time. Poor Cole sits at the window and looks out, kinda like "oh if I could only be outside." Poor baby LOVES being outside, but the weather is too icky and cold. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait for the first big snow fall. I want to see his reaction the the snow falling down, his first step in the crunch cold snow, his first taste (since he puts everything in his his mouth) of the cold white stuff. Oh, I can't wait:)

Cole got his first hair cut yesterday. He was growing a nice mullet. My neighbor, who has a one year old that Cole loves, has been cutting my hair came over to chop off his mullet. He did good!! Of course he didn't sit still, but she was able to cut it straight. I was impressed with how much he was squirming around. After that our friend came over for a photo shoot of Cole. Jared even made it home in time for some family pictures. He did so good!! I can't wait to see them. He is an amazing photographer and I am so lucky he was in town to do his pictures. I will definitely be posting some of those once I get them back.

Christmas card time!!

Each year, I normally make my own cards for Christmas. This year, with a baby, there is NO way I am going to be able to do that. So now, I must choose which card I like!! I use Shutterfly to store all my pictures I've taken...which is A LOT!! I just got an email about their holiday cards, so I decided to go and look through them. Out of all the sights I have found, they have the best selection and prices. I know their quality is great, so now I must decide which holiday card to use! Talk about tough decisions:)

I love snowmen, so this one popped out to me. But then I saw this super cute one. Then (I don't know why...I kept looking and found this one. I'm still looking so who knows what I will find next. But those are the 3 that are my favorite so far. Only problem is trying to pick pictures for them. If I can make up my mind, I just might have them out by Christmas:)

This is seriously a hard decision!!!! Cole is having a photo shoot with one of my best friends little brothers. I haven't seen him in oh 10 years!! I still still see him as little Andrew. He is now married, with a kid and has a wonderful photography business. They live in Missouri and are coming here to visit family. I've told him any time he comes through, he has to do Cole's pics. I am so excited because his photography is amazing!! http://andrewbowser.com/ So today I have the day off, so Cole and I are going to go find his Christmas outfit for the pics.

8 months old

My goodness. Where to begin? He is becoming more and more independent and while I love it, I just want to bottle him up and not let him get any older:) He is so ornery, I love it... most of the time:) Unfortunately I noticed he was sick the entire month of October. Between teething, his horrible cold, to the never ending ear infection, October was a rough month. But we survived. He is one tough little booger. So at this point Cole is:

-Wearing between 12-18 month clothes. (I actually had to buy him 18-24 month jeans so they would fit his belly, but they are sooooo long).
-Crawling like crazy. I mean this kid is so fast!! He waisted no time getting used to crawling. He goes from room to room getting into everything he isn't supposed to, then playing with his toys:)
-He has to be the sweetest little boy. He is always going up to us and laying his head on us and giving us hugs. He is constantly crawling to the little girl I watch and lying his head on her. It is so cute.
-He loves giving kisses to me and daddy. Except, his kisses are open mouth "I'm going to eat you" kisses. Still pretty cute.
-Has two teeth on the bottom, and loves to show you them by biting:/
-He says "babababa" and when really mad he has said "mamama" (although I know neither of these sounds mean anything, but they are still new)
-He will play independently for at least 15 minutes appropriately with his toys!! (didn't get his attention span from me:)
-He is down to 4 bottles a day. 2- 6 oz bottles and 2- 7/8oz bottles.
-Still eats solids 3 times a day and cereal twice a day.
-Eats puffs now...although every time we give them to him he makes this horrible face. It's quite humorous.
-He pulls himself up onto everything!
-He wants to walk so bad. He holds onto our coffee table, turns around and reaches for the couch and tries to go to it...slow down baby!!
-He loves to stand in his crib when he is fighting sleep. He thinks he is so funny:) When I walk in to lay him back down, he gets this big cheesy grin and starts laughing. How do you keep a straight face when he does this?

He is just growing like a weed and I am trying to savor every minute! I love this kid!!! I have to say, though, it is SO hard to get a his monthly pic on the chair. He just wants to crawl away. Come on baby, only 4 more months:)

Man...he needs a hair cut asap!! Eeek:)

He loves his books. He will sit and listen to 3 or 4 books, then listen to me read them again!
