9 weeks
So, I guess I should start my weekly updates on Baby Love 2:) So here is goes... sorry, no photos yet. I must say, they are right when they say you show sooner with your second. I haven't gained any weight yet I have a pooch that is ever growing!!
Update
Cole is in bed and Jared is working late. I thought this would be the perfect time to finally update on everything that Cole has been doing. He is turning into a funny funny little boy. He loves to go up to glass and blow raspberries on it. Pretty much all my windows have Cole mouth prints on it.
The other day I was laying on the couch in his play room the other day and he came up to the couch. He stood up, looked at me and just started bouncing, kinda like "pick me up mama!" So I couldn't resist and he snuggled. Then we started playing. We layed on the couch making each other laugh. It was so cute. He would laugh harder because I was laughing. It was one of those moments you don't want to end.
So, he is becoming even more independent then ever. He likes to play with his toys without any help. Although when his walker gets stuck...boy does he get mad until someone helps him!! He plays by himself for like 20 minutes. He just crawls into his play room and plays with his toys. This will come in handy when the baby gets here.
He now says "mama, dada, baba" and as of last week "bye." He waves when he sees someone or leaves. He "talks" all the time. Seriously!! He is always making a noise. I joke that the only time he says mama is when he wants something or me. It's usually more in a whine:) They start out young.
He is walking around by himself with anything he can like a champ. And today he started standing by himself!! I have a feeling he will be walking before I know it. It makes me kinda sad because that is the last of the baby stages:( He is growing up so fast. He even has FOUR teeth. 2 on top and 2 on bottom. He reminds me he has them when he bites me all the time.
Table foods are a whole new thing to him. He isn't a fan of them still. So far he likes:
-Toast
-Wheat waffles
-Cheese
-Mac and cheese
-Spaghetti
-Ham
-Ravioli
-Crackers.....
Now do you see my problem. We've tried fruits, veggies, and other deli meats. I have a bad feeling he is going to be picky like Jared and I:/ I really try and offer him something new all the time, but usually it's a no go. I guess that's all I can keep doing is try.
So, I'm sure there are a million things I'm missing but I thought I would leave you with some recent pics of my little man.

I've been keeping a secret....
Cole is going to be a big brother!!! 18 months apart isn't too close, right? Or are we crazy:) We found out right before Christmas we were pregnant and told all our family when they were together on Christmas day. We put Cole in a Big Brother t-shirt. Let me tell you, it is impossible to find a Big Brother t-shirt smaller then 2T! Everyone was surprised and excited.
I have actually felt pretty good. I have had nausea off and on, but absolutely nothing like Cole. I was sick 24/7 with Cole. I about 9 weeks, so I'm praying it stays this way. I'm just extremely exhausted! That's kind of why I have been a blog slacker. I have no energy when I get time to get on the computer. But I promise I will work on that and keep my blog updated:)
So yesterday, we had our first ultrasound. I was super nervous, because I feel so good!! As soon as the ultrasound came up on the screen I saw that beautiful flickering heartbeat and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. I'm already so in love with this baby. I'm due September 1, 2011. Cole is very excited to be a big brother:)

Where has time gone?
Cole turned 10 months over a week ago, but I have been a slacker and haven't posted much. He is keeping me VERY busy these days. He doesn't stop until he goes to sleep and even then...he doesn't sleep for long periods of time. Yup, still not sleeping through the night here. And it is getting exhausting. I've tried almost ever technique to get him to sleep longer, but nothing works. He is just a nosy kid who thinks he is missing out on everything.
Since he will be up from his nap here soon, I will leave you with some 10 month pics:) He's such a cutie!!!

What a year....already!!
Well, our New Year's didn't start off well at all. Saturday morning Cole woke up and started throwing up. Poor baby came down with the stomach flu. I ended up taking him to the dr on Tuesday because he was still getting sick and not having very many wet diapers. She said it just seemed like a bug that is hanging around. He wasn't dehydrated and was for the most part in a good mood. Poor Jared was playing with him that night and had him on his shoulders. Well, Cole's tummy couldn't take it and he threw up all over Cole's head. I'm horrible and couldn't help but laugh. I mean come on...sometime you just have to laugh at situations.
Well, Thursday he was still getting sick throughout the day so I had to take him back to the dr. Since he had been getting sick for almost a week they sent me to Children's Hospital for further testing. I was so scared for Cole:( I didn't want anything serious to be wrong with him, but I wanted to know why he was still getting sick. I had to go by myself because Jared was at work and it was across the street from his dr's office.
I was nervous it was going to take a while because I had no bottle or crackers (he was still able to eat and wanting to). Luckily we were in and out within an hour. They first did an ultrasound on his tummy to check for liver/kidney size, blockage, etc. He did so good!! I was so proud of him. More then one nurse commented out how good and well behaved he was. He just went with the flow. I couldn't stay with him during the ultrasound. I had to stand behind the wall, but he didn't cry once.
Then it was time to draw blood:( It took 3 of us to hold him down. Since he is a little chubby baby, they were nervous they wouldn't be able to find a good vein. One popped right up when they put the band around his arm. YAY!! He didn't cry at first but after a few seconds he was D-O-N-E. I felt so bad for him. A little cuddling and kissing afterwards and he was fine! I was so so so proud of him.
I heard back from the dr and everything looked great. So good news nothing was wrong, bad news is we just had to wait out this yucky bug. Luckily Thursday was the last day he got sick and is now back to normal....he is trying to make up for lost time on the bottle that's for sure. Unfortunately he gave it to daddy Sunday night. I have cleaned and cleaned and cleaned our house and prayed hard I don't get it. I had a flu bug a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping that was it!
Onto better news... We finally got good snow again:) Last time we had a few inches of snow, Cole was sick with a cold and we couldn't take him out. We got snow over the weekend and he was all better so we took him out in his little sled. He was not a fan of getting bundled up,
