Yup, I'm still here

It's been a while, I know:/ Things are great here! Let's see, since my last post Eva has turned 8 months, almost crawling, full of energy and adorable as always. Cole is really starting to talk, truly started the terrible two's (they weren't kidding about that), full of affection to everyone, in a big boy toddler bed (how we got there is a whole post for another day), , knows his colors, shapes and can count to 3. Oh and I turned 30 (BLAH) and started my own photography business. Crazy, huh?

We've been playing outside daily...and lots!! Cole LOVES the outdoors. Eva likes it, but definitely not as much as Cole did at this age. I don't even know where to begin so I'll just post pics. Oh and go to my photography fb page and "like" it. I love new followers. It's a little over a week old:)

And for the million pictures I have been meaning to post.

It was freezing, but we didn't realize it till we were there! Eva enjoyed being snuggled in her stroller:)

We decided to go with a mohawk one day:)

Eva wasn't sure what to think of it.

Last pic in the crib (He jumped the whole time I was trying to take a pic)

And the big boy bed

He loves putting ALL his stuffed animals in it and jumping on them. I'll have to post one with his new bed set on it. It's so cute!!

I love these ages!!

We have been busy enjoying this beautiful weather. The last 2 weeks it's been anywhere between 70 and 80 degrees. That's crazy for Ohio in March. We've had many record breaking highs....and we LOVE it. Cole is always wanting to "play" (he says it frantically while signing it) which means go outside and play. We have spent many afternoons and evenings outside with our neighbors.

If you notice Cole's lovely new boots. He is obsessed (and that word is not an exaggeration) with Peppa Pig on Nick Jr. When he wakes up, one of the first things he says is "peppa!" in this cute little high pitched voice. I mean how can I say no to that. So we watch a lot of episodes throughout the day. Anyways, Peppa loves jumping in muddy puddles but according to Mommy Pig "you must always wear your boots when jumping in puddles." So I found him some boots and we've done some puddle jumping.

Cole has really started wanting to play with Eva. Eva is starting to become her own little person. She loves laughing at Cole, riding on his back (of course while I hold her:), pulling his hair, ya know the little sister stuff. He gets so excited when he makes her laugh. He is also very disturbed when she gets upset. He just keeps saying "sissy, sissy" if he can hear her crying in another room. He has to look at her on the monitor to make sure she is ok. I love watching them together. It melts my heart. I know they will have their share of brother sister fights, but I am really enjoying watching them bond!!

My poor Eva came down with her first nasty cold which led to her first ear infection. Of course she came down with the ear infection Friday night. Luckily my awesome pedi takes appointments on Sat mornings. After her first dose of amoxicillian she broke out in a rash so I had to call the emergency line. We held off on her next dose and by morning it was gone so we tried it again and the rash never came back. So we are assuming the rash was from her fever. Poor baby was so miserable! I hate it when the kids are sick.

Oh, and how can I forget our trip to the easter bunny?? My mom and I took the kids over the weekend so Jared could study for a big test he's taking on Friday. I was more worried about Eva, because she doesn't let hardly anyone else hold her and is terrified of men with beards. Not sure why. So I was trying to prepare myself for her to freak out. While Cole wasn't a fan of Santa, he didn't cry. We got to the mall and he was on break. We were first in line for when he returned. Yeah as soon as Cole caught his eye on the bunny he flipped. I'm not talking cried a little, I talking screaming and crying and trying to climb his way away from the scary bunny. So needless to say there was no way he was going to sit on his lap. My mom backed Eva up to the bunny so she didn't see him and she was oblivious to it all.

After they took one picture they suggest putting bunny behind us so Cole couldn't see him and us sit on the bench. Bunny went back and Cole was still crying. I get both kids on my lap while Cole is crying and keeps looking over his shoulder. As soon as they go to take a picture the bunny comes up, Cole catches his eye on him and FREAKS out!!! The lady just sat there. I'm like "TAKE THE PICTURE!!" She snapped it, I put Cole down and he ran to grandma for safety. Oh my it was so funny and sad at the same time! I felt bad, but still have to giggle about it. So here is a picture of the picture. I should have bought the one with the bunny behind us because Cole is really flipping out and my expression is like "oh crap" and Eva is oblivious to it all.
