Happy VDay and much much more

I hope everyone had a great Valentines day!! I surprised Cole and made a heart banner for our mantle and hung them all around, including the kids door with different reasons I love them. I know they are young, but I want to start this sweet tradition. Cole was so excited when he came downstairs and saw all the hearts. Then it made his day when he looked out the window and saw it start to " nooooow." He gets so excited when it snows, which isn't much this year unfortunately.

Cole is becoming more interested in Eva as she starts to become more social. She lights up when she sees him and thinks he is the best thing ever. He thinks she's alright:) He loves "helping" her roll. With our supervision, he grabs her waist and helps roll her. They both think this is hilarious. When she gets on her tummy, they both start giggling. Then he decides its time to wrestle. He lays his head on her back then puts his head under hers so she will pull his hair. He thinks its so funny when she pulls it, I on the other hand thinks it hurts!! She has a tight grip!

Eva is finally rolling!! She's only rolled once from her back to her belly, but she won't stay on her tummy for long at all. She just rolls right on to her back. It's making tummy time very tricky:) She just got over her first virus. She started getting super fussy last Thursday. Like any time I'd put her down she would scream at the top of her lungs. Not a little cry, a cry that even hurt my ears!! Nap time didn't happen unless I rocked her to sleep and she usually ended up sleeping on me at night. I chalked it up to her being constipated and teething. I can feel 2 bumps on her bottom gums and she is doing all the classic teething signs (chewing on everything, drooling, etc). Then Sun morning she woke up with a rash all over her torso. It covered her whole tummy back and sides with a bunch or red bumps. It didn't seem to bother her, but as the day went on it spread down her legs too. I figured I should take her to the dr to make sure she wasn't contagious since I watch 2 other kids on Tues. The dr was able to tell us what it wasn't....but wasn't sure what it was. He figured it was a virus, which of course is contagious. She's slowly starting to be more like sweet Eva and the rash is starting to fade. So on top of being constipated and teething, she had a virus. No wonder the poor baby was miserable.

She also started solids the beginning of the month. So far she's had carrots, peas, and pears. We are on a food break until the rash clears up. She really enjoys them and even gets ticked if I don't get them to her quick enough! Just like her brother:) Oh, and at her appt monday she was a whopping 19pds!! Big girl!

Not so sure about those peas at first, but ended up really liking them!

Cole is getting really good at knowing his shapes. I have an app on my iphone that gives them 4 shapes and they have to pick out the one they say. I'd say 7 out of 10 times he gets it right. Rectangle and oval always get him:) We are still working on colors, but he loves to sort things by colors. He also loves counting his fingers. We will be in the middle of something and he stops, holds up his hand, points to his pinky and says " oooone." It's pretty cute.

He loves to steal my phone and run and play on it. I swear he knows how to work it better then I do!!

Cole's favorite show, Peppa Pig, showed Peppa with a big magnifying glass the other day. So he found one of our tupperware bowls and decided to use it as a magnifying glass on Eva:)

I did some pictures of Eva at 5.5 months, just in case I didn't get around to doing them at 6 months.... I can't believe she will be 6 months on February 29. And Cole will be 2 in less then a month:( I did some of his 2 year pics, but am waiting till closer to his bday to post those.

She LOVES playing with her feet!

And of course I did some Valentines day pictures. It is impossible to photograph Cole, so I admit, I have waaaay more of Eva. He gets ticked if I make him sit for a picture, so I just take them on the run. BUT, I got some yesterday of the Cole kissing the little girl I watch. It was quite funny. They were cracking me up!!! At first he was all boy and pushing her away.

Then he went in for the kill!! Couldn't have been cuter.

I let Kennedy hold Eva for a picture, and surprisingly Cole did NOT like this. Which is funny, because we have to really bribe him to hold Eva for one pic and then he tries to push her away. (I didn't edit the pic, so don't mind it. It was too funny not to share)

This is the best I could get of Cole:)

 Eva's first Valentines day.

My sweet babies. I love them so much!!
