35/35

Ok, so I'm a day early and never posted anything for last week but life is getting crazy!! Tomorrow I will be 35 weeks pregnant and only 35 days till Baby Love's due date! WOW!!! Time is going so fast. This is my last week at work too. It is very bitter sweet. I will really miss my students, but I can't wait to be a SAHM (stay at home mom). Although I am still looking for a kid or 2 to watch out of my house... I'll still be able to stay at home with the baby. I also get a few weeks, if not a month to get everything ready for the baby to come.

I will need lots of getting ready now that we've had our showers this past weekend. I had a shower with Jared's family on Saturday, and with my family and friends on Sunday. I am exhausted but it was totally worth it. Baby Love got so many awesome things! We are very blessed with what we got. I can't thank everyone enough. I don't know what we would do if didn't have all these showers. We would be even more broke than we already will be:) My sister in law took pics of both showers so once she emails them to me, I will upload them.

I start my weekly appointments next week!! I will find out which way the baby is facing (head up or head down... keeping my fingers crossed for head down) and will get my first (well 3rd actually) internal to see if I have started to dialate. Yikes!! It's coming down to the end. He is very active, but now instead of kicks I am getting more jabs. Kinda like, I don't have room so I will so budge you the best and hardest I can:)

We went on our tour of Labor and Delivery last Monday. It was all kind of a repeat of almost everything we knew. My sister in law has had 3 kids at St.Ann's and my sister had 1 kid, who was in the NICU for about a month. So we are very well aware of everything around the labor and delivery floor as well as the postpartum floor, but it was still nice to hear everything from the perspective of a nurse and not my family. I must say I am very proud of Jared for not being the one to passed out:) Not sure what happened but after the nurse explained everything that goes on in the rooms and what not, we all got up to go take a look at the rooms and one of the husbands fainted! I wasn't sure what was going on because he just kind of fell, but then crawled... then who knows. I kind of just ignored him because I thought he had trouble walking and I didn't want to draw attention to him. That was until his wife was like "What are you doing?" Then we all let the nurse come in and he was fine. It was all just kind of funny....

33 Weeks.

So my sister just informed me I am further along than she ever made it. I can't imagine having a baby already. Lukey was 4 pounds when he was born and spent almost a month in the NICU. He is such a strong boy. Now he is a wild 3 year old:) I love that kid!!

I had my first shower today at school. I feel so blessed with everything we got!! I get so nervous before showers like this! I do believe I was shaking. Luckily most of them were eating breakfast and talking amongst themselves while I opened presents. I couldn't wait to get home and show Jared all the fun stuff Baby Love got!!

I will update later and post pics. For now I need to put my chubby legs up because they are so swollen!!

32 Weeks

So it's been a while since I've updated. It's been almost 3 weeks since we've had internet!! Of course 2 of those weeks I was on Christmas break and didn't have to work... you never realize how much you use the internet until you don't have it:)

So Christmas and New Year's have come and gone! Christmas was definitely different this year. We went to Christmas Eve service with my family and then we went to my parents for sandwiches. My mom got all the grandkids matching Christmas pajama's. She surprised me and got Baby Love pj's too. They weren't Christmas pj's but they were really cute!! I was so excited.

Jared and I woke up early Christmas morning and exchanged stockings:) We didn't buy each other anything, other than stocking stuffers so we could save for the baby. We gave our cats Brutus and Mojo their stockings of catnip toys... which they LOVED! Then I got a call from my dad and my mom had come down with the stomach flu after we had all left and had been up sick all night:( Needless to say we were not going over. We already had plans to go to Jared's parents the next day since his mom had to work, so we were home for the day. I was kinda sad at first because I have never not been with my family on Christmas!!

We decided to make it a movie marathon day. Jared had been wanting me to watch all of the Lord of the Rings... so I caved and we watched 9 1/2 hrs of Lord of the Rings. It wasn't my favorite, but I survived:) It was kinda nice not doing anything except laying around and doing nothing. So that was our Christmas day!

The next day we went to Jared's parents for Christmas with his family. When we went to open up presents his parents came out with a huge box... it was our Travel System (car seat and stroller). I was so excited!! That was one of our big ticket items we were praying we would get soon! Jared and his dad put it together and it was perfect!! We had a great time with his family.

Then on Sunday we went to my parents so we could make up Christmas with my family!! I love giving my nieces and nephews all their presents. They were so cute!! Then my mom and sister surprised me by getting Baby Love some Christmas presents. My mom and dad got him his spa bath we had registered for (which I LOVE) and a cute little santa outfit for next year:) My sister got him a snow suit so we can bundle him up when we bring him home!! So cute!!

This was the first break in almost 6 years where I didn't work the whole time with Kyle, the little boy I watch after school. I only watched him twice the whole time in the evenings. It was my last time watching him until the baby comes. It has gotten to be too hard to drive 30 min one way to see him. I love working with him and I love his family, but it is too tiring. So I have no clue what will happen once the baby comes.

So I took the opportunity to have lunch almost every day with friends or family members. It was really nice. Jared and I even took time to paint the nursery!! So I had a busy break:)

New Year's Eve I woke up not feeling well. So I took some zofran and just layed around all day. I thought I had caught the bug my mom and now niece had caught, but I do believe morning sickness has returned:( Boo!! I made myself get up and get ready because we WERE going to our friends house for New Year's Eve. We go to our friend Dustin and Rachel's every year with other friends. This year it was very low key and perfect. All I could think is how different things would be this time next year! Who knows what we will be able to do next year. I started feeling a little better and was able to enjoy myself. By midnight, though, I was exhausted. That is the latest I've stayed up I think since I got pregnant:)

Here is my survey and pics from my break:

  • How far along?: 32 weeks
  • Total weight gain: Way too much. I believe I am pushing 40 flippin pounds!!
  • Stretch marks?: None so far... not bad for gaining 40 pounds *knock on wood*
  • Sleep?: Love hate still. I am having to get up more to pee, but it takes so much work rolling over and getting out of bed. And now morning sickness has been waking me up earlier and earlier:(
  • Best moment this week?: Hearing the heartbeat and starting my 2 week appointments!
  • Sex: Boy!!
  • Movement?: Oh yeah. He LOVES to take what I think is his elbow and drag it across my stomach. Ouch!!
  • Food cravings?: None this week, surprisingly!!
  • Labor signs?: None and please stay that way... not even braxton hicks!
  • Belly button in or out?: Outtie
  • What I miss: Not waddling, being comfortable, and wearing cute clothes (feeling cute in general:)
  • What I'm looking forward to: Our birthing class on sunday
Jared and his dad putting the stroller together

Jared and I with our new stroller... I am looking ROUGH!!

Jared and I at my parents... yes we have the same outfit on again:)

I look like I'm hiding the Christmas tree:)

My niece wanted to take a pic with me and the new baby spa!
