Happy 4th of July!

So Cole survived his first fourth of July. We went to visit Jared's grandma who is in the nursing home on Saturday. The only other time she has met Cole was her son's funeral. She is 93 and has her good days and bad. She lives an hour away so we just haven't had a chance to visit her. I was excited for her to see Cole. She was having an awesome day. She remembered me and knew who Cole was. We got a few good pics with her which I will cherish.

After we left there we went to our friends house who Jared grew up with. He and his wife had a baby about a month after Cole was born. Cole looked like he could eat Luke!! I knew he was a big baby, but man... he looked so big next to him. We decided not to take him to fire works because he freaks out at loud noises anyways. I didn't want to scar him. Maybe next year we will watch them...in the car:)

Sunday we had a neighborhood parade. The kids could all decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers. We decked out Cole's stroller. A fire truck led the kids around our cul-de-sac. It was super cute. Cole, of course, could have cared less. He will enjoy it one day. Later that night we had a cookout in the middle of our cul-de-sac. It was above 90 degrees so we didn't last too long outside. It was nice catching up with all the neighbors and seeing all the kids.

Doesn't he look excited?

All in all it was a great weekend!!
