Well last week I took Eva to the pedi because I knew she was just uncomfortable and they diagnosed (I guess that's what you'd say) her with acid reflux. We started zantac and can already see a big difference. She still has her moments, but doesn't act really uncomfortable after eating and when laying down. I hope it continues to work because I hate seeing my baby not feeling well. She also has eczema as well on her face and chest. So I put aquaphor on her face. I would've thought this would make her a greasy mess, which it does at first, but I can tell a difference within a few hours of putting it on. Crazy!! So, I've been dealing with a fussy baby and a very active toddler.
Cole is still doing great! I can tell he is starting to get a little jealous if one of us holds her for too long. He starts getting whiny and throwing little fits, but he still amazes me in how he has adapted to the changes. He is even sleeping better (I'm almost afraid to say that). He is sleeping through the night and if he gets up he usually goes right back down when we go in. Unfortunately he thinks its a great idea to get up at 6am. He has been doing good of coming to bed with me and just laying there, cuddling with me while I wake up. After a little bit I turn on Mickey Mouse for him and we cuddle a little longer. That is if Eva lets me. She has been doing a little better as well. She went a few times last week from 9pm-2/2:30am. It was heavenly, but after that feeding is all downhill. Hey, I will take what I can!!
So here's some pictures of what we've been up to.

Carter had reflux too and was on Zantac for 8 months. We tried to wean him off it at six months but he wasn't ready. Good luck- I'm glad they figured out that was the problem!
ReplyDeleteI might hit you up for questions sometime!! It helps most of the tine for sure. I always wondered how old most kids got off of it. Guess I probably have a while:/
